For 2012 Play It Safe Project
at Hall's Family Restaurant A Success!
![]() Ocean City,Md.- A large crowd of community supporters and local celebraties came out for a good cause for the Italian feast & Silent Auction to benefit the 2012 Play it Safe Ocean City at Hall's Family Restaurant. Last nights event at Hall's Restaurant was a complete success helping us raise $2,000 dollars towards the 2012 Play it Safe project. There were hundreds in attendance bidding on some great donated items and enjoying the Italian Cuisine provided free to us by the Hall family. The most popular sporting memoribillia was either an autpgraphed photo from Jeremy Guthrie a Baltimore Oriole or Ian Des,ond a Washington National. The rounds of Golf donated by Ruark Golf for rounds at Light House Sound and Rum Pointe, rounds to Eagles Landing donated by Ocean City, and rounds to The Bay Club, were our most popular items and caused a real bidding war. The many gift certificates to area restaurants and bars also were quite popular. The most popular item definitely for the ladies was the Vera Bradley pocket books donated by Vernon Powell & Fenwick Float-ors. Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan and Chief of Police Bernadette Dippino competed trying to outbid the other for a good cause. In the end a good time was had by all! THE MISSION OF PLAY IT SAFE is to encourage high school graduates to make informed, healthy choices while having responsible fun without the use of alcohol and other drugs.
